The Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) prevents the wheels from locking up during hard braking, allowing you to maintain steering control. We have seen how it leverages our brain's preference for visual information, how the physical act of writing on a chart forges a stronger connection to our goals, and how the simple act of tracking progress on a chart can create a motivating feedback loop. For another project, I was faced with the challenge of showing the flow of energy from different sources (coal, gas, renewables) to different sectors of consumption (residential, industrial, transportation). At its core, a printable chart is a visual tool designed to convey information in an organized and easily understandable way.
