The cognitive cost of sifting through thousands of products, of comparing dozens of slightly different variations, of reading hundreds of reviews, is a significant mental burden. They are the first clues, the starting points that narrow the infinite universe of possibilities down to a manageable and fertile creative territory. It was a secondary act, a translation of the "real" information, the numbers, into a more palatable, pictorial format. However, the complexity of the task it has to perform is an order of magnitude greater. Use contrast, detail, and placement to draw attention to this area. I had to define its clear space, the mandatory zone of exclusion around it to ensure it always had room to breathe and was never crowded by other elements.
