We spent a day brainstorming, and in our excitement, we failed to establish any real ground rules. We are experiencing a form of choice fatigue, a weariness with the endless task of sifting through millions of options. We can perhaps hold a few attributes about two or three options in our mind at once, but as the number of items or the complexity of their features increases, our mental workspace becomes hopelessly cluttered. You don’t notice the small, daily deposits, but over time, you build a wealth of creative capital that you can draw upon when you most need it.
